Our trip home to America

We made it!! After a VERY long day and a half, we made it to US soil!!! Woohoo!! The kids did great and enjoyed all of the inflight movies and video games! Lily enjoyed having her daddy by her side to answer her every need and Mike and I were very thankful for obedient and flexible children! We spent our first few nights with my Grandma and Uncles and even enjoyed a nice visit from my brother Bryan and his wife and son. This was my first time meeting my sweet nephew Colton, and boy was he a cutie!! He is such a joyful and happy baby! It was a real treat to see them. After a few days there, we headed to the Welk Resort with my Grandpa. On our way, we stopped by and saw Mikes Uncle Brian who is living in Escondido! The kids enjoyed riding his wheelchair and going on the tour that Brian gave us! It is always nice to see family, especially Brian!! After our visit with him we headed to the resort. It has tons of amenities on site, so we have been able to enjoy all that the resort has to offer! We went fishing today, Kayden and Grandpa made sundaes at the rec center, and we even were able to enjoy the waterslides at the pool. On Monday we went to Legoland and enjoyed a full day of Legos!! Below are some pictures from our trip so far!! More to come!

Michael is 5!

It's official, Michael is 5!! Crazy, huh! He had an awesome party complete with his best friends, aka Padawans!

A few weeks back, my friend Allison was in town from Hawaii and she helped me sew 14 jedi robes for all of the padawans who had to go through training! The morning started out with "Light saber training." The children had to use their light sabers to keep the ballloons fom hitting the floor. The kids had a great time fighting and completing this challenge. Their next task was to master "The Force." Each child had to master their skills of moving objects with their minds. What they didnt know was that Mike and I were under the boards moving the objects with magnets. They LOVED this! The next task was to "Save Princess Leia." The enemy had captured the princess and were keeping her hostage in the balloons. The children had to use their "powers" to release her and save the Princess. If you haven't seen a group of children ages 2-7 trying to pop balloons by sitting on them, you are missing out! :) Their second to last mission was to "Pass the Death Star." Also known as hot potato set to the theme of Star Wars. And of course the final mission was to "Destroy Darth Vader" aka pinata! All in all, Michael had a geat birthday. He loved being around his best friends and of course enjoyed his certificate to complete his Jedi Knight Training! If you also want to enjoy some of this Star Wars fun, check out SIMONEmadeit at Etsy. The Star wars we used was so printer friendly and had little room for user error!!! That makes me happy!!! Happy, I am!!

Happy Birthday Michael!! Everyday, I am more thankful than the last to be your mother... That will never change!! I love you bubba!
